The fourth is rapidlly approaching, enjoy it and the freedoms we have by living in this great country! I plan on spending some time at one of the most fun places in the New York Region, Beer Island in Coney island! It's one of the best places to be a castaway for the weekend...

Get stranded at the Coney Island Beer Island

TV Squad has a little more information on the Showtime series Edie Falco (Carmela Soprano) signed up for to do a pilot. It looks like the title will be "Nurse Jackie".

Don't forget to look for one of my favorites Steve Schirripa (Bobby Bacala) in the ABC Original Family series, "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" which premiered on July 1 according to the All American Patriot website. He wasn't in the first episode, but is a reoccuring character.

It's Wednesday and as always its my favorite night of the week. It is the time to curl up in my recliner and listen to Vincent Pastore's Wise Guy Show on Sirius Radio Raw Dog 104. The program airs from 6 to 9 pm. Cha Cha's web site (Albie Cianflone) is updated with tonight's guests, and if you become his friend on MYSPACE, you'll receive a bulletin, giving you a heads up on Wednesday night's guest list.

Here's something to keep you entertained at work, play The Sopranos match up game. What you have to do, is turn the cards and find the matching Sopranos character's dupllicate card. This just shows it doesn't take much to keep me happy.

June 22, 2008

Welcome to summer, believe it or not it has finally arrived.

An update...

I can across an interesting article in USA Today with some really cool things we didn't know about The Sopranos. Put it on your must read list... And apparently there is going to be released on November 11, The Ultimate Sopranos DVD collection, full of deleted scenes and all sorts of cool stuff. The list price will be $399.00 and is not available yet on Amazon for pre order.

This Saturday in New York City, there were auditions for a new television show, "The Meow Mix Think Like a Cat Game Show." Vincent Pastore (Big Pussy) was one of the judges who decided, which people had the best relationships with their feline companions.

Speaking of Vincent Pastore, the movie "Looking for Palladin", which was filmed in Guatemala, will screen at the 22nd Napa Sonoma Wine Country Film Festival. To view photos from the film, click here.

This Wednesday, the auction at Christie's auction house, of Jame's Gandolfini's character's clothing in The Sopranos, will be auctioned off to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project. To view and bid on some of this part of American televison history, click here.

Congratulations to Sarah, Lisa and Roberta, who each won a DVD of "Meet the Mobsters" in the contest I recently had. You should be receiving this excellent movie in the mail shortly. "Meet the Mobsters" is the story of Johnny Slade a not so popular lounge singer who is hired to open up the hottest new club in town. There is one catch: each night Johnny is given new and usually horrible songs to sing. Unbeknownst to him the songs are filled with hidden messages from a high profile mob boss who has gone into hiding. When the scenes in Johnny's songs begin showing up consistently in the next morning's news reports he discovers he is the middleman of a crime spree.

Starring former Sopranos cast members John Fiore, Vincent Pastore, Steven R. Schriripa, Tony Ray Rossi, Richard Portnow, Frank Santorelli, Vincent Curatola, and Dolores Sirianni.

May 27, 2008

I start today on a sad note. The staff here extend their deepest sympathy to the family of Sydney Pollack, who passed away at his home. Syndney played the character of Warren Feldmanin the season 6 episode, "Stage 5."

You have to love a guy who will give you the shirt off his back. It was announced yesterday that James Gandolfini (Tony Soprano) will be selling his personal collection of costumes (no people in Jersey don't really dress like that) at auction, in which proceeds will benefit Wounded Warrior Project, a nonprofit group that assists severely wounded soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. A special thanks to Sara for sending me the Christie's auction house link, where you can view the items!

Frank Vincent (Phil Leotardo) joined the Governour of Illinois at a signing of a bill that will provide tax credits to bring the motion picture industry to the state.

It's Wednesday and as always its my favorite night of the week. After a nice dinner of baked ziti, its time to curl up in my recliner and listen to Vincent Pastore's Wise Guy Show on Sirius Radio Raw Dog 104. The program airs from 6 to 9 pm. I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend. The weather here in Jersey was simply fabulous.

I have an event that will be held in my hometown of Clifton, NJ on June 14. Lorraine Bracco (Dr. Jennifer Melfi) will be at the new Stew Leonard's store opening up on Rt 3 West to spotlight her company Bracco Wines.

It has been announced that Steve Buscemi ( Tony Blundetto ) has been cast in the upcoming movie, “Youth in Revolt”. He will co star with Ray Liotta.

This wasn't a Sopranos reunion, but it certainly looked like the next closest thing. The cast and creator David Chase, were at the Heartshare Services of New York's Annual Spring Gala held at the Marriot Marquis in New York City to support honoree Tony Sirico (Tony Sirico), for his unconditional support for this charity.

Special birthday wishes are extended to Tony Ray Rossi (Fred Peters) who has the honor of being one of the first people Tony Soprano killed. So if you happen to be in the vicinity of his beauty shop, Rossi Hair Salon, make sure you wish him the happiest of birthdays!
